Over the summer, myself, Jack Wakeman and Alex Dorricott have come together to create music.

We have played around with old songs, created new songs and mainly had tonnes of fun in the process. We recorded three songs for you to enjoy.

We are extremely proud to announce that our first single entitled #HappyNow will be available on the 2nd of November to stream via SoundCloud. As a special promotion and thank you to everyone for being involved, we are sending out a free download to everyone on the mailing list.

To become a subscriber on the mailing list, sign up using the widget on the top right of the home page. Alternatively, you can email me your address and ill add it to the list.

Mailing list subscribers will receive the track on the 1st, a day early.

There will be more news getting fed through in the coming weeks.

    Have a good night,

Major’s music is anthemic pop – timeless songwriting that begins with him and his acoustic guitar. Dom’s breathtakingly gruff and mellow vocal echoes around the tiny wood panelled room incredibly.

The set is a variety of great original tracks by Major and co. finishing off with ‘Happy Now’ – a chilled acoustic track that doesn’t reflect the enmity of its lyrics “don’t tell me that you’re happy now, cause it ain’t what I want to hear”.

Major is certainly talented and it’ll be exciting to see where 2015 takes him. – Elli Brazzill

Massive thank you to Elli Brazzil and the team over at Beyond The Noise for the very kind words 🙂

Also on show that day were my friends Pale Waves and The Orielles who are hitting Manchester with their own take on breathtaking Surf Pop. Its pretty amazing.

You can catch an intimate acoustic set at The Castle Hotel on Wednesday the 18th of February.

So, I have been in the dark for a while, I admit that, and I can only apologies.

Everything is becoming bigger and more exciting. For those who follow me on my Facebook or Twitter will know that we were lucky enough to play at The Royal Albert Hall, and have a lovely mention in The Independent about being a ‘One To Watch’, which we are all super excited about!

Times have changed a lot since the first EP, and although I am very proud to have released it at such a young age, I am moving away from it.

Check out of Gigs page to catch us in action in the new year! Ill leave you with one of my favorite photo’s from the past year. Me being completely overwhelmed by the Albert Hall crowd.

    See you soon,

Tomorrow I ship myself off to Manchester for the foreseeable future. Like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for everything they have done for me in my early years as musician. This is the end of the beginning.

That said, if anyone has any information at all about the Manchester music scene, please feel free to drop me an email at or comment below.

Thanks Yorkshire, you have been delightful.

    Hello friends.

Sorry I havent updated in a while, things in the life of Dom Major are extremely hectic at the minute. Mainly due to the fact I am relocating to Mancherster on the 14th of this month.

I announced this on my Facebook page a few days ago to a great reception of people wishing me well.

I will be attending BIMM Manchester to study Professional Musicianship: Songwriting. Hopefully I’ll follow in the footsteps of ex-graduates such as Tom Odell and The Kooks! Which is pretty cool.

Anywayyyyyyy, my last gig (For a while) will be at Greystones (Sheffield) supporting Gabby Young And Other Animals.

Tickets for the event are available on and

Hope to see you all soon 🙂
