*The Castle Hotel, Monday The 22nd Of June*

Hello world,
How are we? Its been a while since I have written to you all, so I thought I’d drop you a quick message.
On the 22nd, we are putting on another DIY event. All the bookings and promotion is done by ourselves, without the use of a promoter.
This time, I have the pleasure of playing alongside the fabulous Megan Dixon Hood. Meg is a great friend of mine and an incredible pianist. Anyone who is a fan of London Grammar/Rae Morris/Kate Bush should definitely check her out 🙂
Also playing are the incredible Lyon Apprentice, these Australian rascals will knock your socks off. Check out their fantastic music video here:

Just wanted to share this music with you all, and if you can make it, tickets are available here (they’re much cheaper than on the door): http://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Manchester/The-Castle-Hotel/Return-To-Rock-Presents-Megan-Dixon-Hood–Supports/12445827/
Have a great week/weekend 🙂

The Castle Hotel *18th April* and Ryan Adams
Leave a commentMarch 8, 2015 by dommajor
Very excited to announce that we have been confirmed to play at The Castle Hotel on Saturday the 18th of April.
Alongside ourselves, will be Mighty and The Moon. They have a wonderful “Alt-country” sound, that personally, I think is amazing.
I just wanted to share with you some music that I have been listening to if you don’t mind?
About a week ago, I managed to get some tickets to go see Ryan Adams at the Liverpool Guild of Students. I didn’t overly know what to expect as I have only heard two of Adams’ eleven albums, but Mike assured me he was the business.
The sound at the concert was the best thing I have ever heard, so whoever the sound engineer was, I salute you.
The main thing that caught me was the sheer diversity of the set. Adams’ would be constantly flicking between his Acoustic and Electric guitars depending on the song, and each track was so unique it could have been different artists performing them.
I know a lot of people may find that off-putting, but from a musical and creative point of view, it was a work of genius. Instead of blabbering on about how blown away I was, ill just leave you with one of the tracks that really stuck with me. Enjoy.
